The CCNC Apprenticeship Program is a purposeful opportunity to explore gospel ministry and grow in three key areas: Godliness, Bible Handling, and Ministry Competence.
IN A NUTSHELL:
Godly Integrity
Our apprentice program is an intentional time for young people to figure out life while being challenged by the ministry world. They are taught to grow in Godly integrity, striving to know God more deeply and be blameless in their walk with him. Our apprentices are taught to love God wholeheartedly, as Paul teaches in Titus that these spiritual leaders need to first be able to lead themselves.
Bible Handling
This program provides the apprentice with life changing skills in engaging with God’s Word, engaging with people and engaging in practical ministry. Our apprentices are taught how to handle the Bible and share it with others in contexts such as preaching and leading small groups, learning the basics of exegesis and application.
Ministry Competence
The apprentices also learn the intricacies and practicalities of leading teams, submitting to church authority, organising lift clubs for youth events, scheduling a work week, communicating with their relevant ministry teams, shopping, reading good books, shopping for the church, budgeting and a million other things that will make them vessels for God’s plan.
CONSIDERING IF THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM IS FOR YOU?
Everyone who knows and loves the Lord Jesus, and cares about His people and His kingdom, should consider undertaking an apprenticeship in Word ministry.
Here are a few questions to ask yourself:
- Am I convicted of the fact that Jesus Christ is the only way that my family, friends, suburb, and city are going to be saved from hell (John 14:6)?
- Are my circumstances such that I’m ready for the apprenticeship?
- Is my character growing to be like that of 1 Timothy 3?
If so, then the apprenticeship program might be the right place for you:
- To test your competency in ministry skills and abilities.
- To have godly counsel watch your life and doctrine, and give you feedback about whether full-time vocational ministry is the right thing for you.
If you’re keen and want more information, then let’s have an initial conversation and talk about the possibilities of you doing an apprenticeship at CCNC.
